A1: No. This is a practical emcee training designed for beginners. We start from the very basics – posture, breathing, voice projection – and then move step by step to simple stage demonstrations and practice. Many students are very nervous at the beginning, but after 4 lessons they usually have a clearer idea of stage flow and what an emcee actually does. This builds a solid foundation for further training or future hosting opportunities. (Actual progress will vary depending on each student’s background and effort.)

A2: Yes. Many students join not because they want to be a professional emcee, but because they want to speak better in work presentations, meetings, church/community sharing or competitions. The course trains you to organise your content, use your voice and body language more effectively, and manage nervousness on stage. Even if you never become a formal emcee, these skills help you become a clearer, more confident and more persuasive speaker in daily life.

A3: Yes. For students with some experience, this course is a chance to refine and upgrade your skills.

• You can bring your past scripts and real cases to class and test them in practice.

• Amanda will give professional feedback on stage presence, voice, structure and content, and highlight the subtle differences between “amateur” and “professional”.

• If you are preparing for a competition, wedding, or corporate event, you can also treat the class as a “rehearsal + script clinic + feedback” space.
  

Many students with prior experience say the course helped them move from “just relying on feeling” to having a clear system, knowing their strengths and weaknesses, and feeling more confident taking on new jobs or competitions.

A4: Yes. This course gives you a clear framework to start with. We cover common formats such as weddings, corporate events and award ceremonies. Depending on the needs of the class, we also run role-play and scenario practices based on real event flow, so you can rehearse what actually happens on stage and understand what professional hosts need to pay attention to.

A5: No. This is a practice-oriented, experiential course. We do use simple and practical theory to build your foundation, but most of the time is spent on real practice: going on stage, group activities, impromptu exercises and feedback. The goal is that you have done it and tried it, not just “heard about it”.。

A6: Yes. For each intake, we reserve around 1–2 subsidised places for students with financial needs (for example, receiving CSSA or other official student financial assistance). Applicants will be asked to provide basic supporting documents or a referral from a social worker. You are welcome to WhatsApp us for details and a confidential discussion.

A7: This course does not guarantee jobs, but it builds a strong base for several realistic next steps:

• Daily life and workplace useMany graduates are invited more often to present in meetings, lead internal sharing sessions, host church/community events or school activities. Over time, they build up “half-work, half-stage” experience.

• Further trainingIf you want to level up, you can continue with advanced emcee classes, pronunciation/voice training, storytelling workshops and more – step by step moving from “can speak” to “speak like a professional”.

• Stage and volunteer opportunitiesAfter the course, you can join the alumni community and keep an eye on recruitment from the C2 Emcee Volunteer Group and other collaborating organisations. Depending on event needs and selection results, there may be chances to serve as emcee at different community events, turning classroom practice into real stage experience. (Actual arrangements are decided by the organising teams.)

• CV and personal brandingSome students include this training and their stage clips in their CV or LinkedIn as proof of their communication and public speaking ability. This can help with job changes, internal promotion, or more external opportunities.

• Entering the emcee / hosting fieldOver the past 10+ years, a number of students have gone on to become part-time emcees, and some have eventually moved into full-time hosting or training roles after accumulating enough stage experience.
  

In short: if you aim to become a part-time or full-time emcee, this course – together with real-life practice and community connections – is a practical starting platform. However, we do not promise or guarantee job placements.
